Nigel Pearson urges Leicester City to make most of their chances

Nigel Pearson says that his side must show better quality after losing 2-1 at home to Tottenham Hotspur.

Nigel Pearson has challenged his Leicester City team to show better quality at both ends of the pitch to overcome their poor run of form.

The Foxes have now lost their last six league fixtures following today's 2-1 reverse at home to Tottenham Hotspur, and Pearson has said that his side must "see games through".

"I don't know where the black cat is and whether we have run it over but it is a particularly disappointing outcome because our performance was very good," Pearson told BBC Sport.

"We caused them a lot of problems but are falling short of seeing games through. That remains a big frustration and we need to change it very quickly.

"The bottom line is at this level the quality is the defining factor. A lot of our play has been exceptionally good but we have not made the most of our own chances. The winning goal comes out of nothing and Ben Hamer would expect to save it."

The result leaves Leicester rooted to the foot of the Premier League table and without a win since September.
