Harry Kane has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have a great opportunity to end a six-year wait for a trophy this season.
Spurs continue their Europa League campaign against Asteras Tripolis on Thursday evening as they look to claim a piece of silverware which would hand them a spot in next season's Champions League.
Mauricio Pochettino's side have also booked a spot in the quarter-finals of the League Cup, and Kane believes that Spurs are in a good position to taste success at the end of the current campaign.
"We want to win a trophy this season and we have a good chance in the Europa League and the Capital One Cup," the striker told the Evening Standard. "The Champions League spot available to the winners of the Europa League makes it more important.
"Everyone knows we want Champions League football and we need to find a way to get there.
"Is it realistic to think we can win it? I don't see why not."
Spurs have not lifted a major trophy since their League Cup victory over Chelsea in 2008.
