Former Tottenham coach Joe Jordan admits that he was surprised at his sacking, but insists that he bears no grudges against chairman Daniel Levy.

Joe Jordan has revealed that he was surprised at being fired from his coaching role at Tottenham Hotspur at the end of last season.

Jordan was shown the door shortly after manager Harry Redknapp despite leading Spurs to fourth in the table.

However, the 60-year-old insists that he has no animosity towards Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy over the decision despite the unexpected nature of it.

"Not really, and I don't think Harry does either. He has been long enough in the game to know that was it. You move on," said Jordan.

"[Being sacked] was not something I expected. When I finished the season I can't say I went away thinking our future was in danger, but once the discussion regarding the extension of contracts stalled my point of view changed on it.

"Then it happened very quickly. His contract was terminated and I got word the next day that had happened to myself."

Tottenham's next match comes away to Manchester United on Saturday.
