Tottenham Hotspur captain Michael Dawson says that the club are focused on finishing in the top four of the Premier League this season.

Tottenham Hotspur captain Michael Dawson has said that the club are focused on finishing in the top four of the Premier League this season.

Spurs are currently fifth in the table with 47 points from 25 matches and trail fourth-placed Liverpool by three points.

"We had a good win on Sunday and we go there looking to push on again," he told the club's official website.

"We can't rest on our laurels just because we've had a good result against Everton.

"We want to finish in the top four and we're chasing Liverpool, that's our aim."

Tottenham travel to Newcastle United in the Premier League on Wednesday.
