Etienne Capoue returns to Tottenham Hotspur training

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Etienne Capoue returns to training after two months out with an ankle injury.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Etienne Capoue has returned to training following a two-month spell out of action.

Tim Sherwood had suggested that Capoue, who picked up an ankle injury against Norwich City in February, may not play again this season, but he could give Spurs another option after playing a full part in Tuesday's training session.

"It's great to see him back in training but he has been out for two months, so we have to be careful," Sherwood told the club's official website.

"We'll continue to monitor him closely."

Capoue has struggled with a number of injuries since joining from Toulouse last summer.
