Good afternoon everyone! An action-packed day has barely started. Sunderland are leading Newcastle, the two Manchester clubs are preparing to meet at Old Trafford and Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool are hosting Southampton later on. Forget all of that and focus on me. I'll be bringing you all of the updates as Bournemouth take on Tottenham Hotspur at Dean Court.

The party atmosphere which surrounded Bournemouth when they first arrived in the Premier League has gone. As Eddie Howe knew it would all along, their first campaign at this level is turning into a battle. Last week's 5-1 defeat at the hands of Manchester City was proof that they must raise their levels after losing some key players to injuries. Can they produce a response this afternoon?

Spurs head into this game on the back of a Europa League defeat to Anderlecht and are without a win in their last four matches in all competitions. Despite that stretch, Mauricio Pochettino's side are unbeaten in the Premier League since the first day of the season and they have looked more solid at the back than in recent years. It's difficult to judge just how good this side is, but they'll be desperate to keep the pressure on the sides above them today.

Good news for the Cherries as Artur Boruc shakes off the injury he suffered in the warm-up at Man City to replace Adam Federici in goal. Marc Pugh also returns to the side as a replacement for Eunan O'Kane in midfield. Glenn Murray starts in attack with support from Josh King.

Pochettino makes four changes to his side following Thursday's defeat in Belgium. Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Danny Rose and Kyle Walker all return to the starting lineup for the visitors. Clinton Njie, Andros Townsend and Kieran Trippier drop to the bench, while Ben Davies is left out of the squad. Ryan Mason is fit enough to return to the bench after recovering from a knee injury.

From the looks of the team lineup released by Spurs, Alli should return in the centre of midfield alongside Eric Dier, who missed last week's goalless draw with Liverpool due to suspension. Mousa Dembele impressed in that game, but as a result of the change, he is likely to start in a wide midfield position due to the absence of Nacer Chadli, who will be out for up to six weeks after damaging ankle ligaments.

I mentioned that defeat to Man City earlier, and it really was a day to forget for Bournemouth. City are obviously a better side, but the individual mistakes were difficult to accept for fans of the Cherries. Howe is confident that his players will learn from the setback.

"From our perspective, this season was always going to be really tough and an incredible learning experience, not just for myself but the rest of the squad. Everyone will see the experience of City as a negative, but we are trying to embrace it as a positive to see how far we have to go to be competitive with these teams," he told reporters.

STAT: These two sides have never met in a league fixture. Their last competitive meeting came in the FA Cup 58 years ago when third division side Bournemouth caused a shock by beating Spurs 3-1.

With both sides recovering from losses in their most recent games, it will be very interesting to see how this match starts. Dele Alli has insisted that Spurs will not have the Anderlecht loss on the mind when kickoff arrives.

"The boys are disappointed from the defeat to Anderlecht but I think it's important that we pick ourselves up and move on," he told the club's website.

"It's not going to be easy. Bournemouth are a great team, they have got a lot of strengths but so have we, so hopefully we are going to go there, play our own game and try to get the three points."

Spurs currently boast the longest unbeaten streak in the league, but how good are they? Too many draws mean that Pochettino's side currently sit seventh, eight points behind leaders Arsenal. With the defence looking in excellent hands thanks to Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld, there is a feeling that an improvement at the other end could lead to a strong challenge for a top-four spot. Their hopes could come down to Kane, who has netted just one league goal this season. If he begins to fire, Spurs could make an impact higher up the table.

Is the Europa League curse real? The statistics suggest that Spurs do not mind turning up for work on a Sunday. They've lost just one of the last seven matches they've played at the end of the weekend. (W4 D2)

PREDICITION: Kickoff is just over 10 minutes away now, so it's time for a prediction. Whisper it quietly, but I'm on a three-game run with these! Bournemouth should produce a big response after last week's disappointment and they will certainly provide a stern test for this visiting Spurs side. The key is whether they can cause enough problems for a defence which has performed so well in the league. It will be tight. I'm going 2-1 Spurs.

RESULT! The day's early Premier League game is finished. Sunderland have extended their winning run in the Tyne-Wear derby by claiming a 3-0 victory over Newcastle United.

Here we go then. The two sides are out on the pitch and the game is just a few handshakes away.

KICKOFF! It looks perfect for football on the south coast as the game gets underway. An early goal would be huge for the home side.

What did I say about an early goal? Spurs are left stunned as Bournemouth take the lead in just the second minute. The visitors fail to shut down a cross which eventually makes it through to Matt Ritchie, who shows great composure to beat Hugo Lloris with an emphatic finish. It took just 49 seconds. We're in for a good game now.

Pochettino looks frustrated on the touchline and it's easy to understand why. Bournemouth are bright in possession and all of the pressure is on the visiting defence at the moment.

PENALTY! Spurs have a big chance to hit back. Clever from Eriksen as he releases Kane with a through ball. Boruc comes charging off his line. Kane is clever enough to knock the ball away and take the contact from the goalkeeper.

Could this be the start of a goalscoring run he needs? Kane sends Boruc the wrong way and Spurs are back on level terms. There's not going to be much chance to catch a breath today.

That was a vital moment for Spurs. It was a dreadful start and Bournemouth were looking confident. The visiting fans are making all of the noise now as Pochettino's side begin to dominate possession.

CHANCE! Decent opportunity. Ritchie chases down a loose ball and had space to deliver a cross for King, who is leaning away from goal but should do better with a header that drifts wide of the post.

The attacking players for Spurs are being allow to cut inside too easily. Kane drifts out wide and create space with ease, but his chipped ball is too strong for Lamela in the box.

Spurs are in front! A thrilling start to this game continues, but Bournemouth will not be happy with conceding such a cheap goal. The hosts are waiting for Eriksen to deliver a free kick into the box, but he takes it short to Rose, whose powerful strike is blocked. Dembele collects the loose ball and takes a touch in a congested box before firing past Boruc. He's taken a knock, but he won't mind too much!

The pressure is on Bournemouth now. Can they produce a response to falling behind? A cross from Murray causes problems for the Spurs defence, but Walker heads behind after the ball drifts over King. Dembele looks to be fine to continue.

Spurs are quickly growing in confidence. Lamela and Alli both display quick feet as they exchange passes before the latter picks out Kane, who was caught offside in the box.

Bournemouth have been sloppy on the ball at the back. Boruc's kick is poor, and Lamela is too quick for Distin as the hosts eventually concede a corner.

SAVE! Bournemouth continue to live dangerously. Cook is to blame as Alderweireld runs beyond the front post to meet the corner with a header and Boruc is forced to beat the ball away.

Spurs are in complete control now. Dembele is responsible for winning the ball midfield as his impressive start to the game continues, but it is another shocking error from Boruc. Kane puts Cook on the floor with a clever piece of footwork on the left before delivering a cross which seems to take a deflection. It should be an easy catch for Boruc, but he spills the ball and Lamela reacts quickly to convert from close range.

YELLOW CARD! Rose picks up the first booking of the afternoon after catching the tricky Ritchie on the right wing.

Spurs haven't always been at their best, but they've been clinical enough to capitalise on every error from Bournemouth, who are being done no favours by Boruc this afternoon. Howe needs to see his side keep the ball better in midfield. Dier, Alli and Dembele are doing brilliant work for the visitors.

Bournemouth are making it a difficult afternoon for their supporters. Neither Cook or Distin take charge of a situation when the ball breaks loose in the box, before the former finally clears as Kane threatened to take advantage. Lamela started the move with some clever footwork after coming inside off the left once again.

Every time Bournemouth win possession, three or four Spurs players are reacting quickly to get the ball back. This is exactly how Pochettino wants his side to perform without the ball. The visitors are knocking the ball around comfortably and you wouldn't bet against them getting more today.

Excellent from Dembele once again. He's spent most of the day in a central position, with Eriksen doing his work from the left. Dembele makes another very good tackle before releasing the Dane, whose cross is blocked by Cook.

Well, he's certainly a confident young man. Alli is offered space 30 yards from goal, but he drags an effort well wide of the target. One to forget.

Gosling is tripped by Dier and wins a free kick, but it's clear how concerned Howe is after his side survive another spell when they struggled to pick anyone out from the back. They just can't put any pressure on Spurs at the moment.

Spurs finishing the first half strongly as Bournemouth argue their case when a corner is awarded to the visitors. The Cherries twice miss chances to fully clear the danger and Rose does well to retain possession for his side when the ball breaks loose.

OFF THE POST! Bournemouth are so close to pulling a goal back just before the break. Ritchie is the main man once again as he deliver a cross for Pugh, whose effort strikes Walker before being cleared off the line by Alderweireld. The hosts keep the move alive, but they are left frustrated again when King's low strike comes back off the post.

Bournemouth supporters must have felt like the perfect response to last weekend's thrashing at the hands of Man City was on the way when they broke the deadlock in the opening minute. However, it has been a disaster since that Ritchie strike. Errors were punished as Spurs fought back with a penalty from Kane, before Dembele and Lamela struck to hand Pochettino's side a comfortable lead at the halfway stage.

Can Bournemouth get anything out of this game? That was a big chance before the break, with Pugh and King both coming so close to reducing the deficit. The key for the Cherries is to get the ball to Ritchie, who is their most creative and dangerous player. He has made life difficult for Rose on the wing.

If this score stays the same, Spurs will move up to sixth in the table today. Bournemouth are currently just two points above the relegation zone. The players are heading back out for the second half.

RESTART: Spurs get the game back underway. It feels like they probably have another couple of gears they can find in the second half. The next goal is key. Spurs will kill the game off if they get it.

Bright start from Bournemouth as a long ball is cleared to Francis, whose miscued volley is blocked by Vertonghen. It certainly wasn't going to be on target had the Belgian defender not intervened.

Much better from Bournemouth, but Murray and Gosling get in the way of each other when both players aim to connect with a cross from the left. Kane then does well to win a free kick for his side after tracking back to help out the defence.

Walker offers a threat on the wing as he sprints clear of a couple of players, but Distin does well to close the angle on the full-back. The danger should be gone when the goal kick is given. However, Boruc seems determined to make his poor afternoon even worse. It's taken short before the ball comes back to the goalkeeper, who hesitates and kicks it against Dembele. Luckily for Bournemouth, the ball comes back to him.

Spurs are not slicing open the Bournemouth defence, but their fans are still singing and that's because the visitors are managing the game well. They're keeping men behind the ball and keeping the pressure on when Bournemouth have possession. The defence look comfortable at the moment. Can Bournemouth change that?

Superb from Eriksen and Kane! Spurs are on the ball on the left but Bournemouth don't get out quickly enough when Eriksen receives possession. The Dane has time to look up before delivering an inch-perfect cross for Kane, who peels away from his marker to poke home at the back post. Game over.

Spurs want more goals. Kane has played pretty well without always finding his form in front of goals this season, but he looks back to his old self as he drops deep to play in Rose before almost getting on the end of the left-back's inviting cross. Bournemouth, unfortunately, look finished at the moment. They're struggling to keep the ball.

Alli just can't resist. A cross is cleared to him 30 yards from goal and he unleashes an effort which is deflected behind for a corner.

SUB! Howe makes his first change as Eunan O'Kane replaces King.

SAVE! It hasn't been a great day for Boruc, but he produces a good stop to keep out a powerful strike from Kane after another long spell from the visitors.

Remember when I praised Boruc? Yeah, forget about that. It's another shocker from the goalkeeper. Alderweireld meets a corner with a header which is stopped but Boruc just pushes the ball back out to Kane, who complete his hat-trick by tapping in from inside the six-yard box. Kane is back!

CLOSE! Ritchie continuing to be the one bright spark for Bournemouth as an effort deflects off Alli to send the ball over.

OFF THE POST! This could get much worse for Bournemouth. Alli beats a couple of challenges before a tackle sends a loose ball to Eriksen, who strikes the post with a fine curling effort from outside the box.

SUBS! Changes for both sides. Mason comes on for Dembele, which could see Alli playing further forward. Yann Kermorgant is on for Murray.

Should Spurs have been given another penalty? I think so. It's Boruc in the spotlight once again as he spills another ball to invite pressure from Kane, who goes down when the goalkeeper looks to collect at the second attempt. There did seem to be contact.

Another look at the latest penalty incident shows that Boruc did foolishly put out his leg and Kane went over the challenge. It certainly could have been forgiven. I can't believe how poor the Bournemouth goalkeeper has been.

SUB! Bournemouth make their final change as former Spurs full-back comes off the bench to replace Pugh. It looks like he'll play on the left of midfield.

Bournemouth are looking to finish another disappointing day on a high as Ritchie wins a corner. Distin rises highest at the back post, but there is not much pace on the delivery and Vertonghen volleys the centre-back's header clear.

SUB! Walker jogs off to be replaced by Kieran Trippier, who makes his first Premier League appearance for Spurs. That change suggests Walker may have picked up a knock.

Bournemouth are keeping the ball better now, but Spurs have slowed the game down with the win already in the bank. Credit to Vertonghen and Alderweireld, who continue to control the game from the back.

SUB! It's a great reception from the away end as Kane walks off the pitch. He's been back to his brilliant best today. Njie is his replacement and he almost makes an instant impact when he sprints clear before checking back to force Boruc into a low save.

Bournemouth enjoy a long spell in possession as the hosts move the ball from right to left, but Spurs stay disciplined at the back and step up to catch Kermorgant offside.

Eriksen and Alli are playing with the Bournemouth defenders on the left wing, before Ritchie decides that he's had enough of the nonsense by taking the ball off the latter. Spurs could not be more comfortable in the closing stages.

It's a fairly uneventful finish to the game, but the damage was done a while ago. Kane is the hero for Spurs as he returns to his best form with a hat-trick. Bournemouth suffer back-to-back 5-1 losses and it has quickly become clear just how difficult this season could be for them.
