Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Stoke City

Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham Hotspur's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's EFL Cup quarter-final against Stoke City.

Tottenham Hotspur will turn their attention to the EFL Cup on Wednesday night as they look to avoid a shock defeat at Stoke City's bet365 Stadium.

Spurs have suffered a slump in form in the Premier League, with just one point from their last three games seeing them slip from league leaders to fifth place.

However, they will be favourites to progress into the semi-finals of the EFL Cup as they take on a Stoke side sitting just outside the playoff places in the Championship.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Giovani Lo Celso

Possible return date: December 23 (vs. Stoke)

Giovani Lo Celso limped off less than five minutes into the second half of Sunday's defeat to Leicester City with an apparent muscular problem, having initially tried to play through the pain. The extent of the injury has not yet been revealed, but it is highly unlikely he would recover in time for this match.

Possible return date: Unknown

Erik Lamela is now back in light training following a calf injury, but Jose Mourinho has suggested that it may still be a bit of time before he is ready to return to the first team and he may be sidelined until the New Year.

Japhet Tanganga
