How Tottenham Hotspur could line up against Newcastle United

Sports Mole looks at how Tottenham Hotspur could line up against Newcastle United in Saturday's Premier League clash at Wembley Stadium.

Tottenham Hotspur can move into second place in the Premier League table should they see off Newcastle United on Saturday lunchtime.

The Lilywhites, 2-1 winners over Watford in midweek, play before Manchester City and can leapfrog the champions for at least a day.

Spurs' midweek win against the Hornets was much needed, coming on the back of knockout defeats to Chelsea and Crystal Palace in the two domestic cup competitions, and Mauricio Pochettino's side are not out of the title race just yet.

Ahead of this weekend's meeting between Tottenham and Newcastle at Wembley Stadium, Sports Mole looks at how Pochettino could set out his side.

Possible TOT XI vs. NEW

Out: Dele Alli (hamstring), Harry Kane (ankle)
Doubtful: Son Heung-min (cramp), Ben Davies (groin strain)

Pochettino may still be without key attacking duo Kane and Dele, but he does at least have in-form forward Son back in his ranks.

The South Korean marked his return from a two-week absence by netting a key goal in the comeback win over Watford, making it eight goals in nine appearances, and he should overcome cramp in time to start on Saturday.

Llorente may have missed a sitter against the Hornets, but he more than redeemed himself with the winner - his second goal in four games since being asked to fill in for Kane, which will surely see him retain his place up front.

Elsewhere, Davies is still carrying a groin injury so Danny Rose is expected to continue on the left of a five-man defence, while Kieran Trippier is in contention to replace Serge Aurier, who played 45 minutes in midweek on the opposite flank before being taken off.
