England manager Roy Hodgson expects Scott Parker to be in "good physical shape" for Euro 2012.

England manager Roy Hodgson has dismissed concerns over the fitness of Scott Parker.

It had been reported that the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder may be unable to fully recover from an Achilles injury in time for England's Euro 2012 opener with France.

However, Hodgson is confident that Parker will be in good shape by the time the Three Lions' tournament kicks off on June 11.

"He has taken part in every training session and only the first one was less like a full training session," the 64-year-old told reporters.

"He is available to play tomorrow [against Belgium]. He is getting fitter by the day and we are happy that by the time we play France people will be in good physical shape."

Parker has been capped 12 times by the Three Lions.
