Santa Clara vs. Belenenses (Monday, 5.00pm)

Santa Clara and Belenenses square off in the Primeira Liga on Monday evening with just three points separating the clubs in the standings.

While neither team currently have genuine ambitions regarding catching the top six, the victors at Estadio de Sao Miguel will remain away from a relegation battle.

On the back of their victories last time out, both teams will feel that some pressure has been lifted ahead of this contest. Nevertheless, we expect two well-matched teams to grind out a draw on Monday, a result which may be accepted by the clubs at this stage of the season.

The visitors picked up a surprise point away to table-toppers Sporting Lisbon the last time they were on their travels and will be hopeful that they can pull off another surprise result this time around.

Porto have been in good form of late in the league and should have far too much quality for this Rio Ave side. Conceicao's men are desperate to close the gap on Sporting, and only the three points will do on Monday.

Moreirense vs. Braga (Monday, 7.45pm)

Moreirense entertain Braga in the Portuguese Primeira Liga on Monday evening as both teams aim to extend their two-game unbeaten runs.

The hosts were held to a 2-2 draw by Portimonense last time out, while Carlos Carvalhal's men defeated Santa Clara in the Taca de Portugal quarter-finals.

We say: Moreirense 2-1 Braga

Although Braga are the better team on paper, their away form has been poor this season and Moreirense have been strong at home. Seabra's side will fancy their chances on Monday, and we back them to get the job done after a closely fought contest.

Sporting Lisbon vs. Benfica (Monday, 9.30pm)

League leaders Sporting Lisbon host third-placed Benfica in a huge clash at the top of the Primeira Liga table on Monday, with six points currently separating the two sides.

Benfica will be looking to return to winning ways after drawing their last two league games, seeing them lose ground on their rivals in the hunt for the league title.

We say: Sporting Lisbon 2-1 Benfica

Benfica cannot really afford to lose this game if they want to remain in the battle for the top spot, however with a weakened squad already causing their form to dip, we can see a strong Sporting side taking advantage of this and coming out with a narrow victory to extend their lead at the top of the table.
