Iago Aspas hails teammates following Spain debut

Celta Vigo forward Celta Vigo pays tribute to his Spain teammates after making his international debut in Tuesday's 2-2 draw with England.

Celta Vigo forward Iago Aspas has claimed that he was not nervous making his Spain debut on Tuesday night because his teammates make "everything easier" with their presence.

Aspas was a second-half substitute in the 2-2 draw at Wembley, and the former Liverpool striker netted his first international goal in the 89th minute, before Isco secured a share of the spoils for Spain in the 96th minute.

The 29-year-old has praised his team for their 'fight' in the second period, in addition to revealing his pride at debuting in such a famous stadium.

"It was a tough game, we knew it would be from the start. Despite trailing 2-0, we kept fighting and in the end we managed to save the day. My debut? Debuting with these players makes everything easier and it's better to do so at a stadium like this," Aspas told reporters.

Aspas, who struggled to settle at Liverpool during the 2013-14 campaign, has scored seven times in 14 appearances for Celta this season.
