Athletic Bilbao striker Aritz Aduriz has revealed that he is "really looking forward" to representing Spain at Euro 2016.
At the age of 35, Aduriz is the oldest member of the La Roja squad and will enter the tournament off the back of a 36-goal season with Bilbao.
The striker has netted once in his six international appearances to date and has claimed that he is 'privileged' to take part in a European Championships with his home nation.
"I'm really looking forward [to the Euros]. Until very recently, I didn't expect [the call-up]. I'm thrilled. The national team have players of an incredible level, and to be a forward here is a real privilege," Aduriz told reporters. "It's an honour to be one of the 11 older players. I hope to show that I deserve to be here."
Spain open their Euro 2016 campaign against Czech Republic on Monday afternoon.
