Southampton reportedly bid £8m for Feyenoord striker Graziano Pelle.

Southampton have reportedly bid £8m for Feyenoord frontman Graziano Pelle.

The 28-year-old worked under new Saints boss Ronald Koeman while at Feyenoord, and according to The Mirror Koeman sees the Italian front-man as the perfect replacement for Rickie Lambert.

The report also claims that the South-Coast club face competition from Premier League newcomers Leicester City.

Pelle has scored 50 goals in the last two seasons for the Dutch side.
