Lazio 'want Graziano Pelle as Miroslav Klose replacement'

Lazio earmark Southampton's Graziano Pelle to replace Miroslav Klose, according to a report.

Serie A giants Lazio are reportedly targeting Southampton forward Graziano Pelle this summer, if Miroslav Klose leaves the club.

Klose, who broke the record for the total number of goals scored in a World Cup last year, is widely expected to be quitting the sport once his contract expires.

However, The Express claims that Le Aquile are keen to secure Pelle's services, if Klose does decide to leave the Stadio Olimpico at the end of the current campaign.

Pelle scored 11 goals over the first half of the season as Saints climbed towards the top of the Premier League table.

The 29-year-old was also on the scoresheet for Italy against England.
