Southampton have reportedly gotten no closer to securing a loan move for goalkeeper Fraser Forster.
The England international is no longer regarded as first choice at St Mary's, and Alex McCarthy and Angus Gunn are above the stopper in the pecking order.
Forster has been given permission to leave on loan but according to the Southern Daily Echo, a temporary agreement with any interested club is not close to completion.
The 30-year-old has attracted interest from Turkey, but Besiktas are now looking to bring in Loris Karius from Liverpool on a two-year deal.
Forster still has four years remaining on his contract, and the Saints are keen to get the player off the wage bill in the short or long term.
