Nottingham Forest unsure over Billy Sharp signing

No talks have taken place between loanee striker Billy Sharp and Nottingham Forest over a permanent move.

Nottingham Forest manager Sean O'Driscoll has admitted that he is unsure if his club will be able to sign Billy Sharp on a permanent basis.

The striker has scored on six occasions since he joined the Tricky Trees on loan from Southampton in August.

Despite reports that O'Driscoll has expressed an eagerness to hand the 26-year-old a contract, the manager has confessed that no talks have taken place.

"Everything has a price. But it is whether Southampton want to sell," he said. "I am not sure, because we have not had that conversation."

Sharp signed for the Saints in January of this year from Doncaster Rovers.
