Graeme Le Saux: 'Luke Shaw should stay at Southampton for development'

Graeme Le Saux believes that Luke Shaw should stay at Southampton for the time being in order to continue his development.

Former Chelsea defender Graeme Le Saux believes that Luke Shaw should stay put at Southampton in order to perfect his game.

The 18-year-old has been heavily linked with a summer switch to Chelsea, as well as Premier League champions Manchester United.

However, Le Saux believes that the highly-rated left-back, for the time being, should remain at the club that is known for producing talent.

"He's still very young and the more experience he gains for his club and at Under-21 level, I feel that he's in the right place at the moment and his development is crucial," Sky Sports News quotes Le Saux as saying.

Shaw has also been tipped to break into the England senior team due to his impressive form this season.
