Sheffield Wednesday loan Benik Afobe from Arsenal

Sheffield Wednesday complete the loan signing of Arsenal striker Benik Afobe on a deal that will run until the end of the season.

Arsenal striker Benik Afobe has joined Sheffield Wednesday on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old, who has yet to feature for the first team at the Emirates Stadium, could make his debut against Barnsley on Saturday.

Afobe has enjoyed previous loan spells with Huddersfield Town, Reading and Millwall, while he netted three times in 17 appearances for Bolton Wanderers last season.

The forward has also represented England at Under-21 level, scoring once in two matches.
