Sheffield Wednesday forward Chris Maguire has said that Kieren Westwood has made a big contribution to the side this season.
The goalkeeper moved to Hillsborough on a free transfer during the summer after being released by Sunderland.
Westwood produced an impressive display in the 1-1 draw against Leeds United at Elland Road on Saturday, denying the home side with a string of saves.
"It's not just this game, he's kept us in it in five or six games over the course of the season, making valuable saves at the right time," Clubcall.com quotes Maguire as saying.
"He's been a great addition to the team and we were unlucky not to win the game because he would have deserved to be on the winning side.
"He's up there with the best that I've worked with, but Chris Kirkland is a great keeper as well, so it's great for competition and it's a hard one for the manager."
Maguire opened the scoring against Leeds before Giuseppe Bellusci rescued a point for the Whites.
