David Weir expects Sheffield United response

Sheffield United boss David Weir is confident that his players will react positively to their weekend defeat to Brentford in League One.

Sheffield United manager David Weir has insisted that his players will react positively to their weekend defeat to Brentford in League One.

The Blades were beaten for the first time this season as they went down 3-1 at Griffin Park.

"This is our first challenge in terms of bouncing back from a league defeat, but I'm sure the lads will react in a positive manner," Weir is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "It is down to the management staff, including myself, to make sure that is the case and I'm sure it will be."

United return to action on Saturday when they welcome Colchester United to Bramall Lane.
