Scotland manager Gordon Strachan has said that he was satisfied with his side's performance in their 1-0 friendly victory over Estonia.

The new national team boss insisted that his team played some good football in the second half and made the best of a poor playing surface at Pittodrie.

"There were some good individual performances. Everybody knows how the pitch was, it was a problem sometimes," he told reporters.

"You could see the players who have played more regularly and that's got to be a problem for us. The guys who played regularly did a good job.

"Players were picking up good positions but we need to find them earlier. But overall I thought the second half we did really well. It was a horrible day when the surface was bad and they played against a different type of player."

Charlie Mulgrew scored the only goal of the game to ensure that Strachan got his tenure off to a winning start.
