Xherdan Shaqiri's agent has made it clear that the Inter Milan midfielder is still keen on a move to Schalke 04 before the end of the transfer window.
Despite only joining Inter from Bayern Munich in January, the Swiss midfielder has fallen out of favour under Roberto Mancini and he recently suggested that he would be open to signing for Schalke.
However, no agreement is in place between the two clubs, and Arber Sakiri claims that it is not down to a change of mind from his client.
"For now, Schalke is the only option," Sakiri told Calciomercato. "Xherdan has already said it's a great club. Why has the deal stalled? You'll have to ask Schalke, it's not a problem on our side."
A Schalke move for Shaqiri could hinge on the future of Julian Draxler, who was the subject of a failed bid from Juventus.
