Klaas-Jan Huntelaar to return against Borussia Dortmund

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar will return to the Schalke 04 squad for the Bundesliga meeting with local rivals Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.

Schalke 04 have confirmed that Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is in contention to return against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.

Huntelaar has served the four-game suspension he received for picking up a red card against Hannover last month, but there were concerns that he could be set for a spell on the treatment table after he injured his shin in the Champions League defeat to Real Madrid.

However, it was confirmed that the Dutch striker had only bruised his shin, and he is likely to lead the line when Roberto Di Matteo's side meet local rivals Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park.

Huntelaar has scored seven goals in 17 Bundesliga appearances this season.
