Schalke skipper Benedikt Howedes has urged his side to secure qualification for the Champions League knockout stages by delivering the goods against Steaua Bucharest tomorrow night.
The Royal Blues will earn a place in the last 16 if they win in Romania and Chelsea beat Basel, with Howedes insisting that Schalke should relish the opportunity to continue their European adventure by beating Bucharest.
Howedes told the club's official website: "We want our ticket for the last 16 as quickly as we can get it. That's why we want to wrap it up already in Bucharest."
"It's not an all-or-nothing game. There's always another game to be played, but of course we want to get the three points.
"We're going to have to give it our utmost, every single one of us. We know it's not going to be a walk in the park. We saw in the reverse fixture that they have quality."
Jens Keller's men have travelled to Germany heavily reliant on Kevin-Prince Boateng and Julian Draxler for creative impetus, with Klass-Jan Huntelaar still a long-term absentee.
