Team News: Ben Pringle starts for Fulham on return to Rotherham United

Former Rotherham United midfielder Ben Pringle starts for Fulham on his return to the New York Stadium.

Former Rotherham United midfielder Ben Pringle starts for Fulham on his return to the New York Stadium.

Pringle spent four years at Rotherham and made 150 league appearances for the club, but left for recently-relegated Fulham on a free transfer at the end of June.

Jamie O'Hara, who missed Fulham's midweek game against Sheffield United, returns to the starting lineup, while new Finnish signing Sakari Mattila takes his place on the bench.

Rotherham boss Steve Evans has chosen to retain Adam Collin over Kelle Roos in goal after some recent good form, with Richard Smallwood also starting after recovering from a hamstring injury.

The Millers are without Joe Mattock and Lee Frecklington though who have failed to recover from respective ankle and leg injuries.

Ross McCormack scored Fulham's first goal in both meetings with Rotherham last season, and he has also scored nine goals in his last 13 games in all competitions.

Fulham have also failed to win in the league this season, with two draws and three losses, but Rotherham have conceded more goals, with 10, than any other side in the Championship.

Rotherham United: Collin; Buxton, Collins, Halford, Richardson; Maguire, Green, Smallwood, Newell; Clarke-Harris, Derbyshire.

Fulham: Lonergan; Richards, Ream, Burn, Husband; Cairney, Tunnicliffe, O'Hara, Pringle; McCormack, Dembele.
