Rotherham United have reportedly turned down the opportunity to appoint Paolo Di Canio as their next manager.
The Millers are looking for a new boss following the departure of Steve Evans on Monday.
Di Canio is out of work after leaving Sunderland in October 2013, having spent six months and 13 games in charge of the Black Cats.
Prior to his spell in the North-East, the Italian had two years as manager of Swindon Town, whom he led to promotion from League Two in his first season in charge.
According to PA, Di Canio's representatives have contacted Rotherham about their vacant managerial position, but the Championship side have no interest in hiring the 47-year-old.
Ex-Peterborough United boss Darren Ferguson and former Sheffield Wednesday head coach Stuart Gray have been linked with the vacant job at the New York Stadium.
