Roma summer signing Kevin Strootman has hailed the ability of the club's captain Francesco Totti and has also talked up the fans.

He said, however, that he was aware that the passionate Roma fans could quickly turn against the team if results begin to drop.

"Totti can do everything," Strootman told Novum. "Against Verona we played a very good game.

"Italian fans are always very happy when you win, but the situation can change quickly [if you are not performing]."

Roma are currently third in Serie A, having won their opening two games.
