Roma striker Pablo Osvaldo will be sidelined for eight weeks with a thigh injury, the club has confirmed.

The Italy international picked up the strain during a training session on Wednesday.

Osvlado has scored seven goals in 15 matches since his summer move from Espanyol.

Roma resume league duties following the Serie A winter break with a home match against Chievo Verona on Sunday.
