Winger James McClean left Republic of Ireland training this morning with an apparent injury ahead of their Euro 2016 qualifier against Poland on Sunday.
The Wigan Athletic man is said to be undergoing a scan after pulling up during the warm-up today.
According to PA, McClean's left ankle was heavily strapped. If he has suffered a long-term problem, it will be a blow for both Ireland boss Martin O'Neill and his club Wigan, who are fighting to avoid relegation from the Championship.
With McClean's participation against Group D leaders Poland in doubt, O'Neill will hope that fellow wideman Aiden McGeady can feature, despite not having played for Everton since January 31.
