Los Angeles Galaxy forward Landon Donovan has been included in the USA squad for their upcoming 2014 World Cup qualifiers despite a knee injury.
The 30-year-old picked up the injury during Galaxy's 2-1 defeat to Real Salt Lake at home in the MLS on Saturday.
Donovan has to be substituted during that match, but he is part of the 24-man US squad that will face Antigua and Barbuda on Friday and Guatemala next Tuesday.
US coach Jurgen Klinsmann has left out both AZ forward Jozy Altidore and San Jose Earthquakes striker Chris Wondolowski, who is the topscorer in the MLS this season so far with 25 goals.
