Didier Deschamps delighted with Karim Benzema form

France boss Didier Deschamps lavishes praise on Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema.

France boss Didier Deschamps has hailed the performances of Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema.

Benzema has netted 23 times for Los Blancos this season, with Deschamps hopeful that the former Lyon attacker will take that form into the World Cup this summer.

"Karim Benzema is in great shape for his team, even if on Sunday they were unhappy with their defeat," Deschamps told RTL.

"He has always had great potential. He is in a very good physical condition, is full of confidence and has regained his efficiency in front of goal.

"It will be great if he can keep up this level with his club for the remainder of the season and it bodes well for the World Cup."

Benzema has netted 19 times in 65 games for his country.
