Report: Jese Rodriguez to join Espanyol on loan

Real Madrid attacker Jese Rodriguez will sign a new long-term deal at the Bernabeu before joining Espanyol on loan, according to a report.

Real Madrid attacker Jese Rodriguez will reportedly join Espanyol on loan for the 2015-16 campaign.

The Spaniard has been with Real Madrid since 2007 and has scored 18 times in 94 first-team appearances for the Spanish giants, including six in 38 matches last season.

According to Sport, Real Madrid want to tie the 23-year-old to a new long-term contract, but will then send the attacker on a season-long loan to Espanyol, who are now managed by Quique Flores.

Jese, who made his debut for Real in 2011, has previously been linked with a move to the Premier League.
