Real Madrid are reportedly preparing a spectacular move for Barcelona midfielder Sergi Roberto.
Roberto, 25, has developed into a key player for Barcelona, but the Spain international will be out of contract at the end of next season, and has a release clause in the region of £35m.
Manchester United have been linked with a swoop for the versatile midfielder, but according to Diario Gol, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is desperate to bring Roberto to the Bernabeu.
The report adds that Los Blancos are prepared to part with Luka Modric and Dani Ceballos in order to complete the deal, which has been branded 'Operation Figo' due to Luis Figo making a shock move from Barcelona to Real Madrid in 2000.
Ceballos has been linked with a move to the Premier League after struggling for starts this term, while Modric's future has also been the subject of speculation as the Croatian enters the latter stages of his career.
