Real Madrid midfielder Lucas Silva 'to join Celta Vigo'

Real Madrid midfielder Lucas Silva nears a loan move to Celta Vigo, according to a report.

Real Madrid midfielder Lucas Silva is reportedly nearing a loan switch to Celta Vigo.

Silva, 25, moved to Real in January 2015, and made nine appearances for the Spanish giants in the second half of the 2014-15 campaign.

The Brazilian spent the 2015-16 season on loan at French outfit Marseille, however, and is currently with his former club Cruzeiro.

According to UOL Esporte, Silva is keen to return to European football following a spell in his homeland, and Celta are confident that they have won the race for the versatile midfielder.

Silva is believed to have cost Madrid in the region of £10m when he arrived in the Spanish capital.
