A Real Madrid player has reportedly been presented with opportunities to move to MLS or the Saudi Pro League during the summer transfer window.

Real Madrid defender Nacho is reportedly continuing to attract interest ahead of his contract expiring at the Santiago Bernabeu.

For over a decade, Nacho has been part of the Los Blancos senior ranks, playing a key role in their widespread success during that time.

Although the versatile defender has not always been first choice, he has still racked up 360 appearances in all competitions, scoring 16 goals.

Furthermore, he has contributed to 24 pieces of silverwares being won, putting him in a position where he can be called a Real Madrid legend in the future.

However, the 34-year-old has taken the decision to depart Madrid at the end of his contract in June in order to take on a new challenge before the end of his career.

Nacho's stance on future

In recent weeks, there has naturally been speculation over the veteran's next destination, particularly when he has continued to perform at a high level for Real.

Nacho was a key figure as Real overcame defending European champions Manchester City last month, and Carlo Ancelotti's side have since reached the final where they will play Borussia Dortmund.

Nevertheless, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Nacho holds little interest in continuing his career in Europe.

Romano adds that signing for another Spanish club is out of the question, presumably out of respect for Real Madrid, and moving to the Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A or Ligue 1 also looks unlikely.

Move to MLS, Saudi Arabia possibilities

Nacho has seemingly received proposals to become the next high-profile name to move to either MLS or the Saudi Pro League.

Both options are said to be under consideration by Nacho, who would be able to represent an MLS club from July onwards and a Saudi Pro League team when their league commences several weeks later.

Players departing Real for either division has become increasingly popular of late, with Gareth Bale having signed for LAFC and Karim Benzema linking up with Al-Ittihad.

Spanish compatriots Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets find themselves at Inter Miami, while Riqui Puig and Asier Illarramendi are also recent additions to MLS.
