Julen Lopetegui 'wants Rodrigo Moreno at Real Madrid'

New Real Madrid boss Julen Lopetegui wants to sign Valencia forward Rodrigo Moreno this summer, according to a report.

New Real Madrid boss Julen Lopetegui reportedly wants to bring Valencia forward Rodrigo Moreno to the Bernabeu in this summer's transfer window.

Los Blancos have sold Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus this summer, meaning that they will be in the market for at least one new forward before the start of the 2018-19 season.

Lopetegui selected Rodrigo in his Spain squad for the 2018 World Cup, but the 51-year-old was sacked on the eve of the tournament after accepting the Real Madrid job.

Rodrigo entered this summer's competition off the back of scoring 19 times in 44 appearances for Los Che last season, and according to Cadena SER, Lopetegui wants to bring the attacker to the Bernabeu.

The 27-year-old, who has previously spent time on loan at Bolton Wanderers, joined Valencia from Benfica in 2015.
