Lille president Olivier Letang has not ruled out a potential return for winger Eden Hazard, who has been linked with a move away from Real Madrid.

Lille president Olivier Letang has not ruled out a potential return for Eden Hazard in the near future.

The 30-year-old has endured a difficult spell with Real Madrid since joining the club from Chelsea in 2019, missing over 60 games due to a plethora of injury problems.

The Belgium international has recently been linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu, and Letang has suggested that a return to Ligue 1 could be a possibility for the winger.

"Hazard back to Lille? It is not impossible," Letang told French news outlet L'Equipe Soir.

"I'll go to Spain if necessary. It may seem impossible. Obviously, Hazard is an incredible player with a lot of quality. Right now, he is a Real Madrid player and has a contract with that club."

Hazard, who began his professional career with Lille, scored 50 goals and provided 53 assists in 194 appearances across all competitions for Les Dogues during a successful five-year spell with the club, before joining Premier League giants Chelsea in 2012.

Hazard, who has just over two-and-a-half years remaining on his Real Madrid contract, has featured only 55 times in all tournaments for Los Blancos, scoring five goals.
