Middlesbrough confirm Tomas Mejias loan signing from Real Madrid

Middlesbrough confirm the arrival of goalkeeper Tomas Mejias on loan until the end of the season from Real Madrid.

Middlesbrough have confirmed the arrival of goalkeeper Tomas Mejias on loan until the end of the season from Real Madrid.

The 25-year-old has moved to the Riverside to link up with former Real Madrid assistant Aitor Karanka, now Middlesbrough boss.

Earlier today Spanish World Cup winner and Madrid teammate Iker Casillas wished Mejias luck on his "new adventure".

Mejias made just one league appearance for Real, against Getafe back in 2011.
