Zinedine Zidane hints at Real Madrid departure

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane claims that "there might be changes, players and coach" at the Bernabeu at the end of the current season.

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has hinted that he could leave Los Blancos at the end of the current season.

The Frenchman only took control of the Spanish giants in January after Rafael Benitez was relieved of his duties at the Bernabeu.

Zidane has enjoyed a successful start to his managerial career, but his team were beaten 1-0 at home by capital rivals Atletico Madrid in La Liga on Saturday afternoon.

That result has left Los Blancos trailing the leaders Barcelona by nine points in the table, and Zidane has claimed that "next year there might be changes".

"Next year there might be changes, players and coach. But for now we must keep going as we have something to aim for," Zidane told reporters.

Real Madrid, who also went out of the Copa del Rey earlier this season, have not lifted the La Liga title since 2012.
