Sergio Ramos coy on Cristiano Ronaldo future

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos says that he hopes to see both Cristiano Ronaldo and Alvaro Morata stay at the club for "many years".

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has expressed his desire to see Cristiano Ronaldo stay at the club for "many years" amid speculation that he wants to leave.

Ronaldo is understood to have decided to end his illustrious eight-year stay at the Bernabeu earlier this summer following accusations of tax fraud, although the latest reports suggest that his stance on the situation has since softened.

Madrid could also be on the verge of losing Alvaro Morata, but Ramos is hoping to see both forwards remain in the Spanish capital next season.

"These are personal situations and logically I can't add much more," he told Marca.

"The only thing I can say is that I like being with the best and they are great players. Hopefully they are with us for many years but maybe they're looking for an exit option, so we'll see."

Ramos helped Real Madrid to the La Liga and Champions League double last season.
