Neymar: 'Difficult to reach Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo level'

Barcelona attacker Neymar admits that he will find it difficult to reach the level set by club teammate Lionel Messi and Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo.

Barcelona attacker Neymar has admitted that he is unsure if he will ever reach the level of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Messi and Ronaldo are currently widely regarded as the two standout players in world football, with the pair sharing the Ballon d'Or award since 2008.

Neymar is the golden boy of Brazilian football, but the former Santos forward 'does not know' if he will ever match the achievements of Barca teammate Messi and Real Madrid's Ronaldo.

"Cristiano and Lionel are better than any player today," he told Globo Esporte.

"It's difficult to compete with them. I don't know if I'll reach their level, but I hope to better myself each day. I always want to be better than I am."

Neymar has scored 29 times in 59 games for Barca.
