Full-back Marcelo insists that there is no split within the Real Madrid squad.

Brazilian full-back Marcelo has denied reports that there is a division within the Read Madrid squad.

It had been claimed over the weekend that the Spanish players at Madrid believe that their Portuguese compatriots receive preferential treatment from their coach an compatriot Jose Mourinho.

However, Marcelo has insisted that there is no such split within the camp.

"We have shown that we are united," Marcelo told Marca.

"There is no division in the team. We have shown that we are together for the good of all and attached to the coach."

Madrid are currently five points clear at the top of La Liga.
