Centre-back Gabriel Milito believes that his former club Barcelona are still better than rivals Real Madrid.

Los Blancos currently lead Barca in La Liga by three points after 11 matches but the Argentine defender has claimed the Catalan club still have the edge.

"They are the two best teams, with great coaches, but out of the esteem I have for Barca and my teammates, I still think Barcelona are better," he said in an interview with the La Liga website.

"In Barca's dressing room there is a very strong group, with the necessary humility to compete very, very well."

Milito, 31, now plays for Independiente in his native Argentina.
