Season-long Everton loan signing Royston Drenthe believes that he can deal with the pressure that comes with wearing the number ten shirt.
The 24-year-old Dutchman joined the Toffees' on transfer deadline day from Real Madrid and has revealed that he is looking forward to donning the jersey previously worn by Arsenal-bound Mikel Arteta.
"It is a nice number and you have to show people you can wear it," he told the club's official website.
"I think this number has some kind of pressure but I know, for myself, that without some kind of pressure you can't play good football.
"You have to play with some pressure to let people see you are a good player with quality."
Drenthe joined Madrid in 2007 from Feyenoord but has never been able to hold down a starting role at the Bernabau.
