Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has revealed his delight with the performances of Gareth Bale amid criticism of the Welshman.
Bale has scored 14 times in 29 games this season, but has faced criticism from the club's supporters for a perceived selfishness in the final third of the field.
The 25-year-old has even had to face whistles at the Bernabeu stadium, but Ancelotti has insisted that Bale is "doing very well".
"Bale is doing his very best to help the team. He did very well last year too. He scored in the three finals and now he's having a fantastic season. We're calm about Bale, because he's doing very well," Ancelotti told reporters at a press conference.
"Honestly, I don't think he's listening to the whistles and I don't either. I don't think he's worried, as he's playing well and is in top condition. Hopefully he stays that way."
Bale has been linked with a move to Manchester United next summer.
