Portugal's Nani has raced to the defence of international teammate Cristiano Ronaldo following the forward's below-par performance this evening.
Paulo Bento's men saw off Denmark 3-2 in today's Euro 2012 group game, but the Real Madrid star was criticised for missing a clear-cut chance.
Speaking to Goal.com, Nani downplayed Ronaldo's current form and backed him to bounce back in the coming games.
"Cristiano is okay, he is happy, we won the game, so there is nothing to worry about," he said.
"Everyone misses chances. He had a great opportunity to score, he did not score, but we will have more games.
"Maybe he will score then. Cristiano does not play alone, he is very important to us, his work rate was very good in my opinion, because he helped in defence and attack."
Nicklas Bendtner looked to have rescued a point for the Danes in this evening's game, before Portugal sealed the points with a late winner from substitute Silvestre Varela.
