Preview: Ludogorets Razgrad vs. Real Madrid

Sports Mole previews Real Madrid's midweek trip to Ludogorets in the Champions League.

Real Madrid will be looking to strengthen their grip on Group B in the Champions League on Wednesday when they make the trip to Bulgarian minnows Ludogorets Razgrad.

The reigning champions enjoyed a thumping 5-1 win over Basel in their opening match of the competition, with Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo among the goals at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Carlo Ancelotti's side are also racking up the points in La Liga thanks to three consecutive victories during the past two weeks - an improvement in form following two defeats in their first three games.

Ludogorets were considered to be the weakest side in the group when the draw was made back in August, but they made plenty of people stand up and take notice with an impressive display during their 2-1 defeat to Liverpool last time out.

However, they are sure to have their work cut out again when they welcome Madrid's star-studded lineup to the Ludogorets Arena in midweek.

Pepe is likely to remain sidelined for the visitors with a hamstring strain, while Sami Khedira and Fabio Coentrao are still unavailable. Ludogorets have no fresh injury concerns ahead of the match.
