How Real Madrid could line up against Galatasaray

Sports Mole looks at how Real Madrid could line up in Wednesday's Champions League clash with Galatasaray.

Real Madrid will be looking to make it back-to-back wins over Galatasaray when they welcome the Turkish giants to the Bernabeu in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Los Blancos recorded a 1-0 victory in the reserve match last month, which saw them move into second position in Group A, five points off section leaders Paris Saint-Germain.

Zinedine Zidane's side have struggled to find their best form in the Champions League this season, but another positive result against Galatasaray would leave them in a good position.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the Spanish giants could line up on home soil.

POSS RMA XI vs. GALA

Out: Marco Asensio (knee), Nacho (knee)
Doubtful: James Rodriguez (muscular), Gareth Bale (calf)

Madrid will again be without the services of Marco Asensio and Nacho due to knee injuries, while neither James Rodriguez nor Gareth Bale is expected to be available for Zidane's side on Wednesday night.

James is currently struggling to overcome a muscular problem, while Bale is still battling the calf issue that he picked up during Wales's Euro 2020 qualifier with Croatia last month.

Zidane otherwise has a full squad to choose from, and the Frenchman could decide to switch his left-back once again with Marcelo potentially coming in to replace Ferland Mendy.

There are not expected to be many more changes from the side that started Saturday's goalless draw with Real Betis, though, meaning that Rodrygo Goes is likely to keep his spot alongside Eden Hazard and Karim Benzema.

Vinicius Junior and Isco are options for Zidane should the head coach wish to shuffle his pack, although Rodrygo, for the moment, appears to be the favoured choice on the right of the front three.
