Real Madrid to wear pink strip against Schalke 04

Real Madrid will wear their pink strip for just the second time this season in their last-16 Champions League first leg against Schalke 04 on Wednesday.

Real Madrid will wear their pink kit for Wednesday's Champions League last-16 first leg against Schalke 04 in Germany.

The Spanish club's usual away strip is all-black, but that has not been deemed compatible with Schalke's blue home kit.

Real Madrid have not worn their pink kit since losing 4-2 to Real Sociedad in the league earlier this season.

That said, Carlo Ancelotti's side are currently on a nine-match winning run in the Champions League and will have fond memories of their last trip to Schalke – winning 6-1 at the same stage of the competition in the 2013-14 campaign.
