Angel di Maria 'cannot believe' Real Madrid success

Real Madrid midfielder Angel di Maria reveals his delight following Los Blancos' Champions League victory over Atletico Madrid last night.

Real Madrid midfielder Angel di Maria has admitted that it was "an amazing relief" to win the Champions League final against Atletico Madrid last night.

Los Blancos were two minutes away from suffering defeat in Lisbon after Diego Godin had headed Atletico into a first-half lead.

However, a stoppage-time equaliser from Sergio Ramos was followed by three Madrid goals in extra time as the capital outfit claimed their 10th European title with a 4-1 victory.

"It's an amazing relief. I can't believe what we have achieved this year," SportYou reports Di Maria as saying.

"We could have done the treble but we missed the league at the end."

Madrid also won the Copa del Rey this season.
